OH’s Vineyard is a family-owned estate winery in Loudoun County. We cultivate a small production of grapes allowing us to pay personal attention to every vine throughout the season until they are ready to produce a perfectly crafted boutique wine.
By being a small vineyard, we have the privilege of spending countless days and evenings maintaining the vineyard, nurturing the vines with care and attention. The Man Behind the Wine
Meet Waldemar Ortiz (Walo), the visionary vintner behind OH’s Vineyard. Combining a rich culinary background, deep agricultural heritage, and a passion for innovation, Walo’s aspiration is to produce the finest wine in the area and continue elevating Loudoun County’s and Virginia as a premier wine-producing region.
With a deep respect for traditional winemaking and a creative approach, he crafts unique small-batch wines that celebrate Virginia’s terroir with bold, elegant flavors.

This distinctive blend marks the inaugural wine of OH’s Vineyard, representing the founding vision of our estate. Traditionally, winemakers soften Cabernet Sauvignon by blending with gentler varietals like Merlot. However, our terroir yields a beautifully elegant, lighter-bodied Cabernet Sauvignon that inspired us to venture down a different path. We chose to unite it with the bold intensity of Tannat, creating a distinctive cuvée that enhances both structure and profound color depth. As the wine gracefully matures, the Cabernet Sauvignon emerges with increasing prominence and sophistication, creating a harmonious balance between power and elegance.
This blend represents our philosophy of honoring the natural characteristics of our fruit while crafting wines that express our vineyard’s unique terroir and exceptional aging potential—a philosophy that has guided us from our very first vintage.

The neighboring site shares similar soil and microclimate characteristics, ensuring consistency with our winemaking philosophy while providing exceptional fruit that authentically represents our region.

Winemaker’s Note
Thoughtfully sourced from a select vineyard near our Hamilton estate, these grapes were rescued from a local vineyard. Not wanting to see exceptional fruit go to waste, we seized the opportunity to harvest these precious grapes and craft a distinctive blend with Chardonel and Chardonnay.
This unique blend showcases the complementary nature of these white grapes: Chardonnay provides elegant structure and classic varietal character, while Chardonel—a Cornell University hybrid of Chardonnay and Seyval Blanc—contributes bright acidity and cold-climate resilience. A testament to our commitment to preserving exceptional fruit while exploring creative expressions that celebrate both sustainability and our region’s winemaking potential.
